Standards, Frameworks and Conformity Assessments
Explore standards, frameworks, and conformity assessments that are commonly used by businesses to drive sustainability.
Businesses should start by identifying standards that may be relevant for their sustainability focus areas.
EnterpriseSG's Singapore Standards helps organisations to find Singapore national standards relevant to implementing good practices for sustainable management systems, methodologies and solutions, as mapped to the United Nations Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs). Use this resource to guide your adoption of sustainability-related standards and enhance your capabilities in sustainability.
You can also visit the Standards Map App by the International Trade Centre, which provides a list of sustainability-related international standards, with information on the sustainability criteria addressed by each standard's requirements.
After adopting relevant sustainability standards, businesses may consider conformity assessment or certification services to demonstrate and ensure compliance with respective standards.
The Singapore Accreditation Council (SAC) offers accreditation for conformity assessment services, including essential testing in water, waste and energy management. SAC also provides certification for quality, environmental and asset management systems to meet international safety standards, and offers accreditation for greenhouse gas validation and verification bodies.
